Watch as Aluna Surprises Winner of the “Jaiye” Remix Competition

Earlier this month, (RED) and Mavin Records released DANCE (RED) SAVE LIVES Vol. III. If this is the first time you’re hearing about DANCE (RED) SAVE LIVES Vol. III: 1.) it’s an Afrobeats-inspired album that raises money for the Global Fund COVID-19 Response, 2.) it’s available to stream worldwide, and 3.) we’re sorry you’ve been missing out for so long.

If you’ve been listening to DANCE (RED) SAVE LIVES Vol. III as much as we have been, you’ve probably noticed that the album features two different remixes of LADIPOE’s “Jaiye.” But, why? To coincide with the release of Aluna and Sigag Lauren’s remix of “Jaiye,” the first single released off of DANCE (RED) SAVE LIVES, Mavin Records and (RED) held a “Jaiye” remix competition to offer Afrobeats fans the chance to be featured on the upcoming album. Judges Don Jazzy, Aluna, LADIPOE, Johnny Drille, and Mavin Records A&R Director, Rima Tahini sorted through tons of incredible submissions and ultimately decided to include the “Jaiye” remix by Riel on the album.

Grab a tissue and watch as Aluna surprises Riel with the big news.
