Meet the 2020-2021 (RED) Fellows!

The (RED) Team wouldn’t be the (RED) Team without our amazing Fellows—and the 2020-2021 (RED) Fellowship cohort has been no exception. Despite joining the team 100% remotely, and during an especially critical moment in the fight against pandemics, all four (RED) Fellows have absolutely crushed it with their intelligence, creativity, and drive.

While each Fellow works daily within a specific (RED) department, they’ve each made a significant impact across the organization, which will last long after their Fellowship ends.

Take a few minutes to get to know this all-star crew:

Brenna Bromwell

Business Development Fellow

Hometown: Chicago, IL

School: The University of Michigan

College Major: Biology and International Studies, with a sub-focus in Global Health and the Environment

Fun Fact: Brenna grew up sailing competitively and is nearly fluent in French!

“During my time at (RED), I’ve learned the importance of putting myself out there. While I never envisioned my first full-time job being entirely remote, this experience has taught me so much about how to work and communicate effectively with others. I've realized how important it is to be outspoken, share your ideas in meetings, and always be willing to help out with different projects. Not only does this make for a more successful team, but it also empowers you to find your voice early on in your career.”

Des Moore

Creative Fellow

Hometown: Brooklyn, NY

School: University of Florida

College Major: Mass Communications

Fun Fact: Des is left-handed and loves to push herself out of her comfort zone. She recently jumped off a 35-foot cliff into the ocean!

“The (RED) Originals Artist Collaboration Collection was one of my favorite projects I’ve worked on during my time at (RED). I really believed in this project and it was great to be a key part of bringing it to life from start to finish. I've also loved having the opportunity to help with (RED)’s website, create social media posts, and design (RED) Originals merchandise that continues to raise money for (RED) on Amazon every day. My team is amazing and I am grateful for their constant support and faith in me.”

Kalimah Jefferson

Digital + Communications Fellow

Hometown: New York, NY

School: Baruch College

College Major: Digital Marketing

Fun Fact: Kalimah and Michelle Obama have the same birthday.

“My favorite part about working at (RED) has been the team, without a doubt! Despite working remotely, the (RED) team is always able to get the job done and have a good time while doing it!”

Stephan Steiner

Finance Fellow

Hometown: New York, NY

School: Adelphi University

College Major: Business Management Specializing in Finance with a Minor in Psychology

Fun Fact: Stephan “likes to think that he is living to write a great story.”

“My advice for future (RED) Fellows would be to come in with an open mind and a willingness to explore. As a Fellow you have the unique opportunity to work on challenging and interesting projects while still being junior enough to ask questions that you are curious about. Take advantage of that, look out for mentors that fit your personality, and connect with team members. Growth is never linear, it's a journey of bumps, feedback, trial and failure and yet carrying on. Put on some Arctic Monkeys and keep going.”
